WHO WE ARE VMBA sponsors educational and social events. We’ve hosted guest speakers from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and MBA of America. We sponsor educational programs ranging from servicing to production, to real estate analysis and more. Our members are the legislative voice for the mortgage lending industry. Legislation is proposed that could significantly affect our livelihood and we have the opportunity to address these issues.Benefits of membership include attendance at programs and seminars at reduced rates, the quarterly newsletter, legislative updates, a regularly updated membership directory, networking and more. WHAT WE OFFER NEWSLETTER A quality newsletter featuring articles regarding mortgage banking issues, advertising, and calendar updates on seminars and social events. MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY All members receive a directory which includes a listing of members of the Association along with the Board of Governors and bylaws. This enhances the opportunity to form contacts with others in the lending industry or to expand on contacts made during programs and seminars. MEMBERSHIP TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP: Regular Membership is offered to those who are engaged in the business of originating, purchasing, placing, closing, selling and/or servicing real estate mortgages. Affiliate Membership is offered only to a business organization that regularly provides support services or products for business organizations or financial institutions that are eligible for Regular membership. Typical Affiliate members include appraisers, consulting firms, mortgage and title insurance providers and law firms. Self-employed individuals meeting this criteria are also eligible for Affiliate membership. MEMBERSHIP DUES: Regular: Annual Dues: $400.00 One time initiation fee: $100.00 Includes all personnel in same company.
Affiliate: Annual Dues: $250.00 One time initiation fee: $100.00 Includes all personnel in same company. Members admitted after June 1st will be invoiced on a pro-rated basis. Annual Dues are payable June first.
MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
The undersigned hereby applies for membership in the VMBA and affirms that the applicant organization is in accord with and conducts business in conformity with the purposes of the VMBA Canons of Ethics and Standard of Practice.
